Rasa Shastra & Bhaishajya Kalpana is the branch of Ayurveda deals with the preparation of medicines using Herbs and minerals (metals, metalloids and non-metals) by using various purifications and processes, and making effective medicinal formulations.

VISION

To let our graduates learn the science of making Ayurvedic medicaments for their own clinical practice and to lay the foundation for future prospects  like drug research and commercial production (Ayurveda pharmacy) etc.

MISSION

For the fulfillment of our vision we have established the following:

• Department: a fully developed department with subjects experts & and departmental library.
• Museum: enriched with ample specimens of raw drugs, minerals and working and non-working models.
• Teaching pharmacy: equipped with classical and contemporary methods of making Ayurvedic medicine.
• Drug testing lab: DTL has been established to give our graduates a brief idea about the quality control and standards to be adopted before and the manufacturing of medicine.
• Putas and Bhatti section: a separate outdoor area for making bhasmas and kupipakwa rasayana by using traditional methods of Rasa Shastra Classics.
