Kayachikitsa is one of the most prestigious branch of Ashtanga Ayurveda. It aims to fulfill both the prime principles of Ayurveda i.e “Swasthasya Swasthya Rakshanam Aturasya Vikar Prashamanam”. It teaches us how to maintain the general wellbeing of any healthy body by adopting various Ayurvedic principles   related to Dincharya, Ratricharya, Ritucharya, Sadvritpalan and also various Ayurvedic management strategies for the diseased ones. It also provides deep knowledge in terms of Dosha- Dushya-Prakriti-Vikriti- Shatkriya Kala-Rogi Roga Pariksha-Aushadh Sevan Kala-Anupana, Samprapti Vighatan etc. along with so many Ayurvedic principles for the successful management of diseases through Ayurveda.

MISSION

For the fulfillment of our vision following measures have already been employed:

• OPD and IPD facilities for the successful management of disease through ayurveda
• Department- well equipped department with subject experts and departmental library for knowledge enhancement.
• Museum: With the help of flex and models displayed here, students can enhance their knowledge about the subject.
• Specimens: so many popular formulations of various pharmacies are being displayed for proper recognition of the drugs, their doses, and their mode of administration and to learn about their uses in a correct manner.

Instruments various instruments like sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, torch, hammer, thermometer, tongue depressor, rubber catheter, peak flow meter etc. are there to provide clinical knowledge to the students related to the subject.
