On 17th September 2024, on the occasion of the birthday of the successful Prime Minister of India, Honorable Narendra Modi, a one-day voluntary blood donation camp was organized at Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Roorkee Bhagwanpur. It was inaugurated by the Chief Medical Officer of District Haridwar, Dr. RK Singh and the Director General of the Institute, Professor Dr. Narendra Sharma. This huge blood donation camp was organized under the joint aegis of Government Sub-District Hospital Roorkee Haridwar and Mother Teresa Blood Center Roorkee. In this camp, the teachers and students of Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital showed their participation in blood donation and participated enthusiastically.Principal Professor Dr. Mayank Jain and Assistant Medical Superintendent Dr. Abhishek Saxena encouraged the students to donate blood and explained its importance from the Ayurvedic point of view. In Ayurveda, it is called Raktmokshan. Prevention of various diseases is possible by Raktmokshan from time to time. In this camp, Dr. Rajat Saini from Sub-District Hospital Roorkee and Mrs. Neelima Saini from Mother Teresa Blood Bank successfully donated blood to more than 50 people under their guidance.
