A 15 day Orientation programme for welcoming new students of year 2023-24 was organized in Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Roorkee under the guidance and leadership of Director General Prof (Dr.) Narendra Sharma and Director Administrator Deepak Sharma.The programme was designed as per NCISM guidelines to provide new students with a comprehensive introduction to the college and its departments. The program was held from 12th December to 29th December 2023.
Events
The program commenced with Shishyopanayan Sanskar followed by Havan. Havan was organized in Ayurved corridor of E block followed by Aarti and prasad vitaran. The next session took place at college Seminar Hall hosted by Dr.Deepshikha Raturi and Dr.Swati Jagotra.Program began with welcoming of Chief Guest Prof.(Dr) O.P.Singh (H.O.D. Kayachikitsa Vibhag, Uttarakhand Ayurved University , Rishikul campus, Haridwar & Nodal officer, Counselling Uttarakhand Ayurved University) and Hon’ble Director General Prof. (Dr.) Narendra Sharma,Director Administrator Deepak Sharma,Respected Principal Prof. (Dr.) Abhishek Bhushan Sharma and all faculties followed by lamp lighting & Dhanwantari Vandana.
A melodious song “Satyam Shivam Sundarm” was presented by Dr. Snehal Puri followed by beautiful classical dance program by first year students Mitali and Harshini. Further motivational speech for new students was given by Chief guest, Director General and Director Administrator in which they highlighted the importance of ayurved and motivated students and guided their parents about the upcoming roller coaster for the course.
Charak Oath was taken by all new students as per conducted by Prof.(Dr.) Sunita Fonia
The program continued with mesmerizing dance performances of the first year.
A very interesting and informative session was presented with ppt by Dr. Sandeep Kumar about Historical presentation of MAMC. The new students and parents were guided about the Transitional Curriculum of B.A.M.S.
Lastly an informative speech was given by the respected Principal welcoming all new students to the Institute. He emphasized the importance of Ayurved in the Modern world and role of College in promoting Ayurvedic education and research. Gift distribution for new students was done by Prof.(Dr.) O.P. Singh, Prof.(Dr.) Narender Sharma, Deepak Sharma and Prof.(Dr.) Abhishek Bhushan Sharma.
The session was summarised with Heartwarming Vote of Thanks by Prof. Kanu Ohri.
The program concluded with the National Anthem followed by lunch for all members.
Further this transitional curriculum continued for 14 days in which new students were given information about upcoming subjects and practicals and also different department visits and campus visits were done.
