Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College, Roorkee, conducted a 10-day Transitional Program for Batch 2024-25 from December 18 to December 30, 2024. This comprehensive program was designed to help students seamlessly adjust to their new academic environment while providing them with a holistic understanding of the college’s academic culture, clinical practices, and the broader scope of Ayurveda.
The program was inaugurated by Professor Dr. Narendra Sharma, Director General of the Institute, and Mr. Deepak Sharma, Administrative Director. Professor Dr. Narendra Sharma also led the students in taking the Charak Oathand delivered an inspiring welcome speech, followed by the distribution of gifts.
Sessions included:
- Guest Lectures by Experts in Various Fields of Ayurveda
- Lectures on Key Ayurvedic Concepts
- Practical Demonstrations and Clinical Training
- Interactive Workshops on Case Studies
- Powerpoint Presentations by faculty on the scope and importance of Ayurveda in modern healthcare
Students were also taken on visits to different department labs, including the Rasa Shaala, where they observed themaking of Ayurvedic medicines, and the Herbal Garden, where they learned about the significance and medicinal properties of various herbs used in Ayurvedic treatments.
The Batch 2023 students organized and performed a cultural programme, adding a vibrant and engaging element to the event.
This program not only facilitated academic transition but also nurtured a sense of community among students.
