On the occassion of International Day of Girl Child on 11th October 2023,under the leadership of Director General Prof.( Dr.) Narender Sharma and Principal Prof.(Dr.) Abhishek Bhushan Sharma of Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College, Kaumarbhritya Department of Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital Roorkee organized one day programme headed by Prof.(Dr.) Khabiya Pratibha (H.O.D.) , Dr. Sital S. Desai (Reader), Dr. Savitri (Assistant professor), Dr. Priyanka Panchola ( Assistant professor) and Dr Mridula Nayak ( Assistant professor).
Chief guest of this programme were Dr. R.K. Singh (Additional CMO , Nodal PCPNDT Act) ,Mr. B K Gupta (Health educator), Mr. Ravi (District coordinator PCPNDT Act).
Students from different batches participated in various competitions like Speech competition, dance competition, skit competition and Poster competition. Judges were namely Dr. Sandhya Pathak and Dr Harsha.
The main aim of programme was to create awareness about importance of girl child and to stop the social discrimination and atrocity towards girl child.
In speech competition, first prize was given to Graciya, second to Sonali and third to Neeraj. In Skit competition, first winner was Neeraj and group, second was Satyakshi and group and third to Chitresh and group. In Poster competition first prize was given to Manimala and group, second was Shantanu and group.
In Dance competition, Tripti and group stood first whereas Mansi and group stood second.
