On 16th and 17th September 2023, Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and hospital Roorkee and eraktakosha (National Health Mission) jointly organized a blood donation camp on occasion of birthday of Honorable Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami Ji in the hospital premises.
This program was inaugurated by chief guest, Dr Manish Dutt (CMO haridwar and Mother Teresa Blood bank) along with Director General Motherhood ayurveda medical college and hospital Dr.(Prof.) Narender Sharma, Mr. Deepak Sharma, Academic Director and Principal Dr (Prof.) Abhishek Bhushan Sharma .They visited hospital and praised the efforts of all the blood donors. Dr Manish Dutt also made aware of the current health situation going in the region and contribution of this camp in health field. Many students and Teachers from various departments took active participation in blood donation.
Blood donation camp have been also organised on 17 th September on occassion of Honorable Prime Minister Mr. narendra Modi ‘s birthday in which120 units of blood were collected during the camp from motherhood Hospital.
In this two day program various doctors and faculty members gave their contribution namely Dr Sumit Vishnoi, Dr Sandeep Bhardwaj, Dr, S.K.Kaushik, Dr Nitin Choudhary,Pathologist Dr Rajat, Dr Tanu, Dr Reeta Sharma and Physiotherapist Mr Sohan lal.
With the increasing cases of dengue in haridwar and nearby regions,demand of platelets also increased for which this blood donation camp seemed to be a success. Donors were provided with certificates, fruits and juices and chief guest was regarded with valuable Herbal plant of Rudraksha.
