Every year Nutrition week is observed from 1st-7th September. Theme for this year was “Healthy diet-affordable for all”. On this occasion Motherhood Ayurveda Medical College and hospital, Roorkee organized two day program to spread awareness about role of nutrition in maintaining body health.
On day one, Balrog department ( Dr Khabiya, Dr Savitri, Dr Mridula Nayak and Dr Priyanka Panchola) organised small skit performed by BAMS 3rd year students showing the importance of nutrition food in childerns keeping both genders in equal frame Students also gave speech and made posters to aware about healthy diet in neonatals and growing childerns.
On day two , Swasthvritta Department ( Dr Monika Choudhary, Dr Sumit Vishnoi, Dr Nitin Choudhary) organised Nutritional food competition in which students from BAMS 3rd year participated and made various Nutritional food keeping the theme in consideration ( Healthy diet-affordable for all) which included food made from herbal drugs too . Students also made posters to create awareness about having healthy food and role of nutritious food in attaining healthy lifestyle.
On this occasion Principal and Professor Dr Abhishek Bhushan Sharma praised the efforts of students and motivated them for the same.
Winners were awarded by Judges Dr S.K kaushik,Dr Monika Choudhary, Dr Deepshikha Raturi, Dr Priyanka Panchola where first place was given to Satish, Kashish, Santosh,Ankit,Akash(Group B), Deeksha ,Anjali, Sakshi, Shanatanu (Group H) stood first.
Second place was given to Ruchita, Arup, Aftab, Fareed(Group D) and third place was given to Riya,Mansi, Manimal(Group I) and Avantika, Vishakha, Anupama( Group G).
